Transportation Advisory Committee unanimously accepts comprehensive transportation strategy

Concord's Transportation Advisory Committee unanimously accepted the completed Transportation Strategy on Monday, refined through approximately 250 public comments. Chair Ellen Quackenbush and members Phil Posner and Rebecca Woodward emphasized that successful implementation depends on hiring a dedicated transportation staff person. Nick Pappas moved acceptance of the plan with modifications to follow in action plans.
The town will pursue a two-year LRTA-operated pilot bus service with Acton and Maynard, and MassDOT will conduct a Powdermill Corridor Fixed Route Study beginning in September.
