Transportation Advisory Committee approves framework for Draft Concord Transportation Strategy

CONCORD — The Transportation Advisory Committee and Select Board jointly reviewed the Draft Concord Transportation Strategy, a comprehensive plan developed by consultant Stantec to guide town transportation decisions. All seven TAC members and four Select Board members attended. Liza Cohen of Stantec presented six strategy areas incorporating prior town planning work.
Committee and board members raised questions about Route 2, speed enforcement, commuter rail parking policies, and Rails with Trails. Community members offered input on bicycle infrastructure, commuter rail affordability, and transparency of the Transportation Management Group. Community Development Director Alyssa Sandoval requested written input from TAC members by the end of April before the plan is finalized.
