Retirement Board rescinds 25-year-old pay-period regulation

CONCORD — Retirement Board approves financial reports, rescinds pay-period rule. The Concord Retirement Board voted unanimously on four motions at its August 26 meeting: approval of draft GASB 67 and 68 reports and the 1/1/2026 Valuation Report, both from Stone Consulting; and rescission of a 25-year-old supplemental assessment regulation that became obsolete when the town changed from 26.1 to 26 biweekly pay periods. The board also unanimously accepted a tax opinion from Kenneth Freed & Company confirming Executive Director Jill Hersey's travel reimbursement complies with IRS regulations due to dual work sites in Pittsfield and Concord.
