Other Committee · Meeting of June 25, 2026

CONCORD — The Concord Recreation Commission heard that both of its self-funded facilities face widening deficits without fee increases. Consultant Jesse Myatt of Barry Dunn said Hunt Recreation Center's revolving fund needs about $500,000 in added annual revenue by fiscal 2029-2030 and the Beede Swim and Fitness Center enterprise fund needs roughly $400,000 more, both tied to a proposed 10 percent fee increase. Select Board liaison Paul Boehm called the analysis "quite consistent with how the Finance Committee wants to understand things." Commissioners voted unanimously to approve April's minutes and to keep Matt Boger as their Community Preservation Committee representative.

Chair Phil, citing a town policy on annual chair rotation, said he will step down but wants all five commissioners present before naming a successor, pushing that decision to September.
