Other Committee · Meeting of October 14, 2026

Concord's personnel-review committee voted 4-0, three separate times, to raise pay grades for three town positions, retroactive to October 1. The biggest change went to the Emergency Communications Center Manager, moving from grade 13 to grade 14; incumbent Stephen Johnson said his role has grown "from being more of an operations manager role to a full division director." The committee also raised the Tourism/Visitor Center Manager from grade 9 to grade 10 and the Assistant Recreation Director from grade 11 to grade 12. Staff said the town is developing a formal annual window, April 1 through August 31, for submitting future reclassification requests tied to the budget cycle.

The committee separately approved an update to Employee Handbook Policy 4.9 on military leave after legal review found an existing pay cap was not allowed under state law.
