Warner's Pond panel approves proposal for pond management consultant

CONCORD — Warner's Pond Committee approves request for proposals to hire pond management consultant. The Concord panel, meeting via Zoom, approved the RFP with a requirement that any hired consultant consult with wildlife professionals about mitigation effects on the pond's ecosystem. Committee Chair Christine Denaro reported that 13 volunteers recently collected 20 bushels of invasive water chestnut.
The committee also approved a process to reinterview candidates for a vacant seat, with interviews to be conducted by Natural Resources Commission Chair Jim Smith, Denaro, and Natural Resources Division staff Rose Kaforski.
