Concord committee advances pond-management consultant RFP

Concord's Warner's Pond Management Committee advanced its consultant search with firm-separation safeguards. The panel voted unanimously to reschedule its next meeting from 6:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 17, and Chair Christine Denaro's group reaffirmed its requirement that the design firm cannot also bid on implementation work, despite concerns from Phil Brewer and Bill Kemeza that the requirement might deter bidders. The committee finalized expectations at 10 meetings across three years and discussed applying for Community Preservation Committee funding for years two and three, contingent on Natural Resources Commission approval.
