Subcommittee hears Walden Woods conservation proposal for landfill

Concord Land Use subcommittee reviews Walden Woods conservation proposal for public works landfill. The Walden Woods Project, represented by Kathia Anderson, Samantha Corron, Tom McShane, and Anna Winter Rasmussen, presented a proposal to place a conservation restriction over the Public Works landfill at 755 Walden Street. Co-chair Sven Weber suggested the proposal may be better suited for broader discussion in Phase 2 of the Land Use Working Group process.
Facilities Manager Russ Karlstad shared observations from site tours at Arlington, Bedford, and Lexington public works facilities, noting that operational efficiency and community functionality varied significantly among the three towns.
