Land Use Working Group advances DPW and Public Safety facility relocation plans.

Land Use Working Group · Meeting of February 6, 2026

CONCORD — The Concord Land Use Working Group advanced facility relocation plans for two town departments. Co-Chair Judith Long presented Public Safety Subcommittee findings on moving Fire and Police Departments from their current Walden Street campus, citing functional obsolescence and space constraints. Simultaneously, Rob Almeida reported the Public Works Subcommittee's recommendation for a unified campus model, with MCI Concord emerging as a preferred location because existing structures could be repurposed and the site connects with the wastewater treatment plant the town is negotiating to acquire.

The group approved January minutes unanimously and voted unanimously to enter Executive Session to discuss real property values and negotiations. Discussion on Public Safety recommendations will resume February 20.
