Other Committee · Meeting of June 24, 2026

Concord's Natural Resources Commission voted to certify a conservation restriction amendment protecting a Westford Road farm dating to 1698. Trustees Joan Ferguson and Lynn Huggins of the Concord Land Conservation Trust, with owner Morris Tyler, said a 2023 survey found Tyler "didn't own this line of trees and shrubs along the eastern edge of the 2009 restriction," an oversight the amendment corrects by adding an 18-foot planting buffer. The certification now goes to the Select Board and the state.

Commissioners, led by Chair Jim Smith, also issued negative determinations for footbridge and septic projects on Concord Turnpike, Strawberry Hill Road and Barrett's Mill Road, and continued hearings on a Everett Street home redesign and a Lowell Road greenhouse to July 15. Smith reported a truck damaged "about 30 feet" of a historic stone wall near the Concord Gun House on June 9.
