CONCORD — Land Use Working Group Public Works Subcommittee ranks six sites for new municipal campus. Members Rob Almeida, Matt Boger, and Linda Miller, supported by Director Alan Cathcart and Facilities Manager Russ Karlstad, evaluated acreage, accessibility, costs, and infrastructure for each location. Three sites—MCI-Concord/Junction Village, Ripley School, and 509 Bedford Street—were designated "good use"; Keyes Road and 2229 Keyes Road ranked "possible use"; Walden Street and Virginia Road were deemed "not ideal" due to landfill proximity, flood risk, and poor accessibility.
The subcommittee retained all sites in analysis for completeness while signaling that Keyes Road flood zone constraints and single-access liabilities at Ripley present serious operational challenges.
