Economic Vitality Committee backs Arts-Business Forum, recommends zoning height increase

CONCORD — The Economic Vitality Committee unanimously approved an Arts and Cultural/Business Forum set for early May at Barefoot Books, targeting 50 to 60 attendees. Chair Mike Lawson presented the subcommittee proposal, which highlights that one in four Concord workers are employed in the creative economy sector. The committee voted 8 to 0 with one abstention to recommend favorable action on a Planning Board warrant article raising the maximum building height in Limited Business District #1 to 35 feet, consistent with other business districts.
Economic Vitality Manager Mimi Graney is developing a dashboard with economic vitality metrics for presentation at the March 18 meeting.
