CONCORD — Economic Vitality Committee unanimously elects new officers and reviews creative economy growth. Greg Higgins was named Chair, Chris LaFrance as Vice-Chair, and Tom Wilson as Secretary. The committee reviewed results from a May 4 Arts and Business Forum that generated 106 ideas for collaboration and community projects, and heard from Historical Commission Chair Doug Ellis on a preservation plan that has successfully delayed demolitions to save historic properties.
Mimi Graney, Economic Vitality Manager, reported the Concord Center Cultural District will distribute 15,000 dollars in grants for neighborhood projects and is coordinating a mural on the Bruce Freeman Rail Trail slated for fall installation to address graffiti.
