Consolidation subcommittee ranks NewMUNI as preferred municipal office option.

Concord's Municipal Consolidation Subcommittee completes benefits-scoring exercise favoring NewMUNI option. The panel, chaired by Paul Boehm with Mary Hartman as Clerk and Tracey Marano as member, weighted criteria at 45 percent for financial benefits, 30 percent for staff collaboration, 15 percent for resident convenience, and 10 percent for sustainability, then scored each option on a one-to-ten scale. Both weighted and unweighted scores clearly identified NewMUNI as the most attractive alternative.
The subcommittee will issue a report to the larger Land Use Working Group by late January with sections on options analysis and recommendations, while deferring public input until cost estimates are more concrete.
