Other Committee · Meeting of October 1, 2026
Concord's Warners Pond Management Committee spent nearly two hours Oct. 1 reworking a resident survey on pond recreation and tracking delays in a pond-cleanup consultant contract. Committee member Dan said the request for proposals, split into a lump-sum base bid and a time-and-materials options bid, remained stuck in town finance review and could slip from an Oct. 9 legal-notice deadline into mid-November. Members revised survey questions on abutter status, biking, boat rentals and invasive species, and planned a QR-code outreach campaign using yard signs near Giroux Recreational Area, Rideout Park and both libraries.
Staff liaison Rose told the group that when it asked the recreation department who oversees Giroux, "they had no answer." The committee approved its Aug. 6 and Aug. 20 minutes unanimously and set its next meeting for Nov. 5 at 3 p.m.
