Other Committee · Meeting of July 15, 2026

Concord's Climate Action Committee reviewed a restructured draft of its Climate Action and Resilience Plan update and approved revised minutes on a 4-2 roll call vote. Consultant Cassidy of Weston & Sampson told members the new draft collapses 22 prior actions and 93 sub-actions into broader "strategies" covering buildings, energy, mobility, natural resources and preparedness, with a survey to follow before a September public workshop. One member said the plan was "very light on adaptation preparedness planning," while another, Paul, said four preparedness actions "would really be more of a two-year plan" than a five-year one.

Deputy Town Manager Megan Budo reported the town is requesting $111,000 in state reimbursement under a $200,000 two-year Suasco Climate Collaborative grant and is awaiting word on a separate clean-energy community application. CMLP's Laura Scott said Marblehead, not Concord, will lead a regional pilot on municipal light plant thermal energy networks.
