Task Force reviews housing cost survey findings, prepares report for Select Board.

Tax Relief Evaluation Task Force · Meeting of February 26, 2026

CONCORD — Tax Relief Evaluation Task Force approves survey analysis, charts April Select Board report. Co-chairs Lynn Salinger and Ellen Quackenbush, with members Rich Feeley, Jon Piper, and Shannon Sweeney, reviewed preliminary findings on the Residential Tax Exemption using a $150,000 household income threshold and $2 million home price break point. A key finding identified approximately 240 households under age 65 earning under $150,000 annually who currently receive RTE benefits and would be excluded under a potential shift to the 41C½ senior-only exemption.

The analysis also determined that roughly 1,500 parcels below the break even valuation did not receive the RTE despite potential eligibility. Salinger will prepare an integrated draft report by the next meeting for Select Board presentation tentatively scheduled April 13.
