Tax Relief Task Force Advances Draft Report on Residential Tax Exemption
Tax Relief Evaluation Task Force · Meeting of March 26, 2026
CONCORD — Tax Relief Evaluation Task Force refines its draft report on residential property tax exemption options. Co-chair Lynn Salinger said the group aims for a final clean draft at its April 2 meeting, with Select Board presentation targeted for April 13, pending Concord Assessor review. The Task Force deferred a formal vote on recommendations until Ellen Quackenbush completes an analysis breaking down the current $3.2 million tax exemption by homeowner income groups.
Data shows 89 percent of the tax reduction burden falls on non-qualifying properties while 11 percent is borne by qualifying homeowners above a $2.4 million breakeven threshold.
