Select Board · Meeting of August 31, 2026
Concord Select Board approves gas infrastructure upgrade despite one board member's dissent. The board voted 3-1 to grant National Grid a location to replace and upsize natural gas piping on Bedford Street from Court Lane to Monument Square, with Mary Hartman voting against. Chair Wendy Rovelli requested documentation of standards justifying the 2-inch to 4-inch upgrade.
The board unanimously approved the three-year Comprehensive Transportation Strategy and nine Black Heritage Trail markers. It voted 4-1 to retire the Public, Educational, and Governmental Access Committee, with Paul Boehm dissenting, citing public benefit to media oversight.
