Concord Select Board approves governance updates, noting $1.4 million surplus

CONCORD — The Concord Select Board unanimously approved Personnel Board charge updates and reappointed Josh Fay. The board also approved three one-day liquor licenses and a design letter to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation regarding the Route 2 rotary project. Chair Wendy Rovelli, Clerk Cameron McKennitt, Paul Boehm, and Dean Banfield voted unanimously on all matters, with Mary Hartman absent on personal leave.

Chief Financial Officer Jennifer Barrett reported that combined surpluses from building permits, winter recovery assistance, and other revenue sources total $1.4 million, which could reduce the FY27 tax rate by $215 per household on average.
