CONCORD — Hanscom Field panel votes to guide Massport talks on ICE flights. The Hanscom Field Advisory Commission authorized a subcommittee including Megan Chapman, Terrance Parker, and Terri Ackerman to continue negotiations with Massport Legal on shared principles governing Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations at the airport, focusing on legal compliance, passenger safety, liability avoidance, and community responsiveness. Massport staff reported January 2026 noise data showing daytime operations up 7.0 percent and single-engine aircraft up 17.2 percent compared to January 2025, though night operations declined 2.3 percent.
The commission also voted unanimously to approve revised January minutes and appointed Chair Margaret Coppe and Barbara Katzenberg to draft formal comments on Massport's Strategic Plan during the public comment period ending March 6.
