CONCORD — Hanscom Field Advisory Commission approves March minutes and reviews 2025 operations. Chair Margaret Coppe reported a 300,000 dollar operating surplus for Fiscal Year 2025 despite a 2 percent decline in daytime operations, while monthly noise data showed significant increases: daytime operations up 17.5 percent, jet operations up 14.0 percent, and night operations up 16.6 percent year over year. Massport is preparing for increased summer traffic tied to FIFA events and will present an updated Taxiway ECHO plan in May.
Terri Ackerman reported that commissioners and Massport Legal met April 16 on four priorities including legal compliance, passenger safety, and community responsiveness; Barbara Katzenberg and Ackerman will form a subcommittee to draft a letter to Governor Maura Healey, whose office supports denying deportation flights through Hanscom Field.
