Concord Cultural Council approves $500 for Lantern Parade
Concord Local Cultural Council · Meeting of February 18, 2026
Concord Cultural Council votes unanimously to fund Lantern Parade. The board approved $500 in support for the March 7 event and increased its "Enhancement Funding" program for existing town events from $2,000 to $3,000, with recipients now required to provide attendance data. Chair Tooey Rogers reported that the Massachusetts Cultural Council had confirmed a $15,000 grant to Concord for fiscal year programs and that Economic Vitality Manager Mimi Graney's recent critique of MCC's revised "one size fits all" guidelines for local councils garnered tacit support from Boston-based MCC staff.
The board approved Jack Megan and Laurie O'Neill as new members, pending formal Select Board approval.
