Commission Imposes One-Year Delay on Country Club Demolition
Historical Commission · Meeting of June 11, 2026
CONCORD — Historical Commission delays country club demolition pending preservation review. The Concord Historical Commission imposed a one-year demolition delay on the Concord Country Club property at 246 Old Road to Nine Acre Corner following an application by General Manager Greg Cincotta to demolish an 1860 barn converted to clubhouse in 1913. The club had spent five to six years studying renovation alternatives before seeking the demolition review.
The commission voted unanimously to impose the delay and express preference for preservation, allowing time for potential alternatives. In related business, the commission deferred historic marker applications for 42 Nashoba Road and 62 Elm Street pending applicant attendance and clarification of property histories.
