CONCORD — Transportation Advisory Committee reviews road safety ranking tool for 134 projects totaling $27.3 million. Stantec presented a prioritization methodology using infrastructure compliance, vulnerable populations, and proximity to key locations as ranking criteria, though Public Works Director Alan Cathcart noted the town has budgeted only $2.5 million over five years for such improvements. Committee members including Rebecca Woodward and Nick Pappas raised concerns that the tool lacks mechanisms for future public input and may not adequately weight safety outcomes.
Community Development Director Alyssa Sandoval reported the Transportation Strategy will be completed in May and used to refine the prioritization process in coming years.
