Subcommittee approves prior minutes, updates block party and cultural programs

Concord250 Arts Subcommittee · Meeting of April 8, 2026

CONCORD — The Concord 250th Art, Literature and Music Subcommittee unanimously approved March meeting minutes and updated block party logistics for the April 20 celebration. Di Clymer, chair, reported that Public Safety has authorized closure of Main Street from Monument Street to Keyes Road and Walden Street from Main to Hubbard. The party will feature a DJ, bands, poets, food trucks, and three large puppets from Musketaquid Arts that each require three volunteers to animate.

Mimi Graney seeks four to six additional volunteers for the day. Subcommittee members also reviewed upcoming cultural programming, including Harvard historian Jill Lepore's lecture already held at the Concord Museum, a May 3 poetry awards reading at the library, and the OARS Wild and Scenic Film Festival running April 22-26.
