Concord 250 Arts Subcommittee advances anniversary programming after Lantern Parade exceeds goals. The March 7 Lantern Parade and party drew approximately 500 participants against an original target of 50 to 100, with over 200 attendees at presiding lantern-building workshops. The subcommittee voted unanimously to approve February minutes and heard updates on the April 20 Patriots Day Block Party, chaired by Economic Vitality Manager Mimi Graney, which will feature the Wright Tavern beer garden, food trucks, community activities, and performances by the Concord Band and Concord Traveling Players.
Priscilla Stevens introduced "Our Concord Town," with music by Jaimee Leigh Joroff, slated for Block Party performance. The Concord Cultural Council will vote today to open its 2026 grant round, with an application deadline of May 1.
