Concord 250 Arts Subcommittee approves Liberty Flag project and maps 2026 events.

Concord250 Arts Subcommittee · Meeting of January 14, 2026

Concord 250 Arts Subcommittee maps 2026 cultural calendar and backs Liberty Flag project. The panel unanimously endorsed a Scout House and DAR initiative asking schoolchildren to design a commemorative flag, with the winner announced in January 2027 and a hand-made flag commissioned. Chair Di Clymer led the subcommittee through updates from a dozen cultural partners: the Concord Conservatory will place pianos across town coinciding with West Concord Porch Fest in June; the library hosts writer Danielle Bradley through June and a Margaret Fuller installation in May; OARS marks 40 years with events including Sounds & Science on March 14 and the Concord River Race on May 9.

The Block Party is scheduled for April 20 and the Lantern Parade for March 7.
