Concord's DEIC Launches New Affordable Housing Conversation Series
CONCORD — The town's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee this week rolled out a new installment of its DEIC Community Coffee series built around affordable housing, featuring local housing expert Liz Rust, while the Concord Free Public Library flagged a one-day closure of its Special Collections department.
TOWN HALL The town announced "A Place at the Table Starts with a Place to Live," a DEIC Community Coffee conversation on how access to affordable housing shapes diversity, equity and inclusion in Concord. The town's announcement says the session will feature Liz Rust, described as a local housing expert, discussing strategies for building a more inclusive community. It is the latest in the DEIC's ongoing series of community conversations hosted through the town.
COMMUNITY & ARTS Concord Free Public Library said its Special Collections department, home to the William Munroe Special Collections, will be closed Friday, Aug. 14, because of an unexpected staffing issue. The library apologized for the inconvenience to researchers and patrons who may have been planning visits.
