Concord Road Work Hits Six Streets as Water Rate Hike Arrives July 1

DATELINE: CONCORD

A week-long road work campaign touching six streets across Concord launched Friday, coinciding with a heads-up from Patch that water and sewer bills are set to climb for households beginning July 1.

TOWN HALL

Road crews are active across multiple Concord neighborhoods this week, with work scheduled through July 3 on Thoreau Court, Thoreau Street, Sudbury Road, Everett Street, Stow Street, and Devens Street, according to the town's News Flash. The work is part of a rolling construction campaign that has kept crews busy on more than a dozen streets since late June; earlier this week, work at the Sudbury Road and Thoreau Street intersection prompted a formal detour plan.

Residents on those corridors should expect equipment and potential delays. The town's News Flash page has served as the running source of updates throughout the multi-week effort.

Also still in effect: a Level 1 water restriction limiting lawn watering to one day per week.
