Concord Master Plan Committee advances mixed-use development plan, debates site access concerns. Consultants Jeff Speck of Speck Dempsey and Liza Cohen of Stantec presented revisions that expand retail capacity to 90,000 square feet, double the original proposal, and address traffic management, public works campus refinement, and ecological connectivity. Committee members raised concerns about site access requirements for a potential Department of Public Works relocation.
Co-Chair Wendy Rovelli stated she would not support the DPW relocation without a Route 2 curb-cut.
