Concord Cultural Council removes grant application restrictions

Concord Local Cultural Council · Meeting of July 13, 2026

CONCORD — The Concord Cultural Council subcommittee eases eligibility barriers to its cultural district grants. The group removed business-partnership and event-history requirements from the Cultural District application while establishing a rule requiring applicants under 18 to have guidance from someone 21 or older. Chair Leda Zimmerman announced an outreach event September 10 at the Goodwin Forum to introduce the Council's grants to creative individuals and groups.

Members will decide at the July 22 full committee meeting whether to proceed despite a scheduling conflict with a Mass Cultural Council applicant session.
