Concord Cultural Council reduces maximum project grants to fund more cultural projects. At its July 22 meeting, Chair Leda Zimmerman and the council approved new guidelines requiring online applications and reduced the Concord Center Cultural District project grant maximum from $3,000 to $2,000. Treasurer Anita Tekle's motion to reallocate a $500 Barrow Bookstore grant to a September Little Women event was approved, and the council cancelled a planned September 10 grant-education event due to a scheduling conflict, intending the changes to expand funding for cultural projects.
