CONCORD — Joint school committees approve amenities design funds and bus lease. The Concord and Concord-Carlisle regional school committees voted unanimously to authorize $25,000 in Capital Stabilization Funds for additional Amenities Building design and permitting costs and to approve financing for two school buses under a lease-purchase resolution. The committees also voted to create a special education stabilization fund to hedge unexpected out-of-district placement expenses, passing 4-0 with one abstention.
Robert Conry, Assistant Superintendent of Finance and Operations, framed the stabilization fund as essential fiscal protection given the district's limited circuit-breaker reserves and current scarcity of out-of-district placements.
