CONCORD — The Concord-Carlisle Regional School Committee voted unanimously to award a $1,639,000 contract for a new amenities building at Concord-Carlisle High School. The committee selected City Enterprises Inc. of Springfield from a pool of 18 bidders, a total district official Bob called "fantastic," coming in well under the $1,850,000 town meeting appropriation. A $175,000 state grant tied to Fair Share Amendment funding will cover design and project-management fees.
The same joint session also authorized a 10-year, $28,600-per-year electric bus lease with Highland Electric for two buses with chargers, and approved, as amended, a charge for a new Climate and Culture Working Group tasked with building a data-tracking framework by the committee's September joint meeting.
