The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Concord Police Department's official public log for the period March 18–24, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).
Wednesday, March 18, 6:54 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-car collision with airbag deployment was reported at Laws Brook Road and Sunnyside Lane; one person was transported to Emerson Hospital.
Wednesday, March 18, 1:26 p.m. — Arrest: A motor vehicle stop at Main Street and Belknap Street resulted in an arrest for Operating Under the Influence of Drugs and marked lanes violation. The official log does not record the arrestee's name, age, or town of residence for this entry; see editor note below.
Wednesday, March 18, 9:09 p.m. — Larceny: A resident of the Grove Street area reported a package stolen from his front porch.
Friday, March 20, 8:44 a.m. — Animal Incident: Staff at the Thoreau Club on Forest Ridge Road reported an injured fox on the property; Animal Control was notified.
Friday, March 20, 9:11 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash / Road Closure: A single-car crash into a utility pole at the Route 2 rotary at Commonwealth Avenue resulted in airbag deployment and a snapped pole; Route 2 eastbound was closed and Commonwealth Avenue between Laws Brook Road and the rotary was closed while Concord Municipal Light Plant (CMLP) evaluated and repaired the pole. One occupant refused medical evaluation at the scene. Route 2 eastbound subsequently reopened to one lane approaching the rotary.
Friday, March 20, 1:50 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash / Multiple Injuries: Multiple 911 calls reported a multi-vehicle crash on Route 2 eastbound near Walden Street, with at least one vehicle overturned and one person entrapped; Route 2 eastbound was shut down at Sudbury Road. Multiple ambulances from surrounding towns responded. The entrapped person was extricated at approximately 2:05 p.m. and all patients were transported. Route 2 eastbound reopened after the scene was cleared.
Friday, March 20, 1:47–3:27 p.m. — Roadway Hazard: Wires were reported down in the roadway on two occasions on Main Street; wires were moved to the sidewalk in both instances. The second set appeared to belong to Verizon.
Friday, March 20, 2:55 p.m. — Assault: Police responded to a call from Emerson Hospital security at Old Road to Nine Acre Corner; an investigation report was filed.
Friday, March 20, 5:06 p.m. — Suspicious Activity: A walk-in complainant reported two individuals wearing bandana masks who exited a black BMW near the Walden Street area, briefly approached a dock, then quickly returned to their vehicle and drove away; an investigation report was filed.
Friday, March 20, 8:31 p.m. — Power Outage: Residents of Virginia Road reported a loss of power; the outage appeared isolated to that street with no obvious issue visible on the poles or wires. CMLP was notified. A second call at 11:32 p.m. from Fuller Lane and Virginia Road reported the same outage; CMLP's 24-hour line was contacted.
Saturday, March 21, 1:57 a.m. — Suspicious Substance: A motorist reported a baggie containing an unknown substance in a parking space at West Concord Plaza near the 7-Eleven on Main Street; the baggie was taken into evidence.
Saturday, March 21, 7:19 a.m. — Vandalism: A resident of Annursnac Hill Road reported past vandalism to the wiper blades on a parked motor vehicle; a police report was filed.
Saturday, March 21, 8:46 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash / Hit-and-Run: A motorist reported being rear-ended at Old Bedford Road and Bedford Street; the other vehicle fled. Officers located the other driver, who received a written warning for following too closely.
Sunday, March 22, 12:20 p.m. — Utility Hazard: A tree limb was reported resting on a secondary power line on Bedford Street; CMLP responded and removed the branch.
Sunday, March 22, 2:17 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash / Hit-and-Run: A patron returning to her vehicle parked near Monument Square reported her car had been struck while she attended an event at the Colonial Inn; a police report was filed.
