Concord Public Safety Log: July 1–6, 2026

The following is a compilation of incidents and arrests recorded in the Concord Police Department's official public log for the period July 1–6, 2026. All persons listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Domestic violence incidents, sexual assaults, and juvenile matters are excluded per Massachusetts law (G.L. c. 41, section 98F).
Wednesday, July 1, 1:19 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Stop: A motor vehicle was stopped near Sudbury Road and Riverdale Road; the operator received a verbal warning for a marked-lanes violation.
Wednesday, July 1, 1:26 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Stop: A motor vehicle was stopped near Concord Turnpike and Old Road to Nine Acre Corner; the operator received a written warning for an unregistered vehicle and speeding.
Wednesday, July 1, 2:09 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Stop: A motor vehicle was stopped near Concord Turnpike and Old Road to Nine Acre Corner; the operator received a written warning for speeding.
Wednesday, July 1, 1:36 p.m. — Railroad Crossing Concern: A caller reported a crossing gate on Baker Avenue descended while her vehicle was on the tracks; the party cleared the tracks and officers found the gates operating properly.
Wednesday, July 1, 1:47 p.m. — Animal Welfare: Two horses on the Lowell Road block were reported left outside in the heat and appearing to be in distress; the owner was contacted and brought the animals inside.
Wednesday, July 1, 5:17 p.m. — Incident Report (Estabrook Woods): A resident reported that on the prior day, while walking at Estabrook Woods, he was approached by a man who threw bird seed at his feet, causing turkeys to advance on him; an officer took a report.
Wednesday, July 1, 11:56 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Stop: A motor vehicle was stopped near Concord Turnpike and Old Road to Nine Acre Corner; the operator received a citation for speeding.
Thursday, July 2, 2:39 a.m. — Arrest: Officers conducting a well-being check at Whites Pond on the Plainfield Road block found two individuals swimming; the vehicle operator was found to have an active warrant out of Concord District Court for failure to appear. The operator was arrested and charged with the active warrant.
Thursday, July 2, 9:17 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-car crash on Route 2 East between ORNAC and Sudbury Road sent one vehicle into a jersey barrier and another off the road; Massachusetts State Police handled the scene and four occupants refused medical treatment; no injuries reported.
Thursday, July 2, 10:00 a.m. — Larceny/Check Fraud: A resident of the Forest Ridge Road block reported two mailed checks were intercepted, washed, and cashed by unknown parties; an officer filed a report.
Thursday, July 2, 2:10 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A two-car crash near Estabrook Road and Liberty Street resulted in two patients refusing treatment; a park ranger remained on scene.
Thursday, July 2, 4:47 p.m. — Parking Enforcement: Twenty-five parking citations were issued at the Walden Street lot for vehicles parked without permits.
Thursday, July 2, 5:25 p.m. — Vandalism: A resident reported his vehicle, parked on the Central Street block overnight, had been vandalized; an officer filed a report.
Thursday, July 2, 8:52 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A single-vehicle crash near Route 2 and Sudbury Road involved a vehicle striking a guardrail; Massachusetts State Police responded and one occupant was evaluated.
Thursday, July 2, 10:52 p.m. — Roadway Obstruction: A tree fell onto wires on the Old Marlboro Road block, partially blocking the road; the tree was cut and moved off the roadway.
Friday, July 3, 6:25 a.m. — Animal Death: A caller reported a raccoon was killed when a concrete bird-feeder top fell on it; contact information for animal control services was provided.
Friday, July 3, 6:37 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Citation: A motor vehicle was stopped at Lowell Road and Bow Street; the operator received a citation for a crosswalk violation and speeding.
Friday, July 3, 9:27 a.m. — Sinkhole: A sinkhole approximately one foot deep formed near a sewer grate on the Tarbell Spring Road block; a cone was placed and the highway department was notified.
Friday, July 3, 2:38 p.m. — Hit-and-Run (Parked Vehicle): A resident reported her vehicle was struck while parked in front of a business on Commonwealth Avenue the prior day; an officer filed a report.
Friday, July 3, 3:05 p.m. — Larceny/Fraud: A resident of the Ingham Lane block reported falling victim to a Cash App scam; an officer filed a report.
Friday, July 3, 4:37 p.m. — Dog Attack: A resident reported a neighbor's dog exited its yard and attacked her dog while she was walking on the Elm Street block; the victim's dog did not appear to be injured; the animal control officer was notified.
Friday, July 3, 7:00 p.m. — Motor Vehicle Lockout: Officers assisted an elderly woman locked out of her vehicle at the Monument Street block in the heat.
Saturday, July 4, 12:53 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Stop: A motor vehicle was stopped on Wheeler Road; the operator received a verbal warning for a marked-lanes violation.
Saturday, July 4, 3:25 a.m. — Disturbance: A caller reported a vehicle parked on the Main Street block playing loud music; the vehicle was gone on officers' arrival.
Saturday, July 4, 9:30 a.m. — Safety: A street sign for Conant Street between Main Street and Damon Street was reported knocked down and lying on the ground; Public Works was notified.
Saturday, July 4, 12:51 p.m. — Parking/Swimming Violation: Overflow visitors to Whites Pond were found parking along Plainfield Road and swimming in an unauthorized area; three parking citations were issued and parties were advised they were not permitted to swim there.
Saturday, July 4, 4:29 p.m. — Larceny: A visitor to Walden Pond reported leaving her wallet in an Uber; the driver claimed to have returned it but the wallet could not be located; an officer filed a report.
Saturday, July 4, 10:07 p.m. — Fireworks Complaint: A caller reported fireworks being set off near Park Lane and Elm Street; officers checked the area and found it quiet.
Sunday, July 5, 2:53 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A driver reported falling asleep at the wheel and striking a curb on the Elm Street block near NECC; no injuries or airbag deployment; an officer filed a report.
Sunday, July 5, 12:16 p.m. — Dog Attack: A caller reported a neighbor's dog exited its yard and attacked her dog on the Elm Street block; the victim's dog did not appear to be injured; the animal control officer was notified.
Sunday, July 5, 7:30 p.m. — Disturbance/Threat: A caller at Walden Pond reported a verbal argument with a group over loud music, during which the group made threats before leaving; Massachusetts State Police handled the matter.
Sunday, July 5, 9:03 p.m. — Fireworks Complaint: A resident on the Plainfield Road block reported fireworks being set off nearby; officers checked the area and found nothing.
Sunday, July 5, 9:21 p.m. — Fireworks Complaint: Fireworks were reported near the Pond Lane block; officers checked the area and found no one present.
Monday, July 6, 1:21 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Stop: A motor vehicle was stopped at Concord Turnpike and Elm Street; the operator received a citation for speeding.
Monday, July 6, 7:40 a.m. — Suspicious Activity: A passerby at Sleepy Hollow reported a suspicious male, previously reported, again in the area of Lexington Road and Old Bedford Road; an officer filed a report.
Monday, July 6, 7:53 a.m. — Motor Vehicle Crash: A three-car crash on Route 2 East near the rotary had no injuries; Massachusetts State Police handled the report.
Monday, July 6, 8:45 a.m. — Roadway Obstruction: A fallen tree on the Lowell Road block pulled down a wire and blocked the roadway; the tree was removed and utilities responded.
Monday, July 6, 11:19 a.m. — Larceny/Bank Fraud: A resident of the Hubbard Street block reported bank fraud; an officer filed a report.
