DPW Schedules Work on 14 Streets This Week
DATELINE — Town crews began a townwide slate of road work this week, hitting more than a dozen streets even as Concord's lawn-watering restrictions stayed in force during a stretch of hot weather.

The Department of Public Works has crews scheduled across 14 roads for the week beginning Monday, July 13, according to the town's News Flash service: Stow Street, Everett Street, College Road, Annursnac Hill, Philip Farm, Liberty Street, Devens Street, Thoreau Court, Sudbury Road, Maple Street, Lexington Road, Bedford Road, Old Bedford Road and the MBTA parking lot. Two of those projects begin Wednesday, July 15 — paving on Maple Street and an extension of work on Old Bedford Road running from Lexington Road to the Bedford town line — while paving and curb work at the MBTA lot is set for Tuesday, July 14.
Separately, the town on Monday reissued a hot-weather reminder that lawn-watering restrictions remain in effect, urging residents to conserve as the region deals with elevated temperatures.

Two exhibitions remain open at the Main Library this month. "Summer Memories," a solo show by Massachusetts artist Lucinda Hamilton in the Munroe Gallery, runs through July 30 and celebrates the landscapes and places that shape personal memory. "A Celebration of the Declaration: An Exhibition of Rare 1776 Documents" is on view through July 26, giving visitors a look at historical documents tied to the nation's founding.
