Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Commission · Meeting of February 26, 2026
Concord DEI Commission approves March 26 candidates forum and advances bias incident reporting system. The Commission unanimously approved the forum with Grant Hightower as moderator. Agnes Lubega reported the Bias and Hate Incident Reporting Working Group has completed two community focus groups with two more scheduled; District Attorney Marian Ryan stated Concord represented 100 percent of bias incident complaints to the Middlesex County DA's office in the past six months (6-8 incidents), despite comprising only 1 percent of the county population, with most stemming from schools.
The working group targets a May report to the Select Board outlining a multi-channel reporting system with Human Services intake and victim response protocols.
