CONCORD — DEI Commission approves 2026 activities budget as ARPA funding set to expire. Co-Chairs Andrea Foncerrada and Rose Cratsley led the unanimous vote backing Concord Pride ($3,500), Juneteenth ($1,000), Hanukkah ($3,000), menorah installation ($3,500), and the Dignity Workshop community training series, while deferring a Native American Heritage event to FY27. The commission launched a DEI Community Survey in four languages and assigned commissioners targeted outreach to schools, affinity groups, and civic organizations ahead of Town Meeting week.
The bias and hate incident reporting working group continues dashboard development for Select Board presentation in June; final Black Heritage Trail markers are expected by summer's end pending Historic District Commission approval.
