Concord Youth Hockey Association opens registration and releases its fall travel schedule.
CONCORD -- Youth ice hockey is the lone sports headline out of Concord this week, with local rink and recreation sites otherwise quiet and no Concord-Carlisle high school games reported for the period.
YOUTH LEAGUES -- Concord Youth Hockey Association, which fields Concord Youth Hockey and the Concord Capitals, has opened registration for the season, according to the organization's website. The site lists seven travel teams taking the ice this fall: 8U Elite (Soucy), 8U Premier (Nadeau), 8U Select (Herbert), 10U Elite (Clark), 10U Premier (Gaudreau), 12U Elite (Arsenault) and 14U Elite (McGilvray). The posted schedule shows those squads facing opponents including the New England Wolves, Berlin Maroons, Granite State Wild, Manchester Inferno, GSW-Woodward, UV Wild and the Manchester Flames, with most games at Everett Arena and additional dates at Merrill Fay, Thayer Arena and Keene Ice. The schedule as posted runs through multiple weekends this fall.
