CONCORD — The Concord Community Preservation Committee reviewed five grant requests totaling more than $1 million against a tighter budget, taking no votes. Chair Diane said applicants sought "almost twice as many" dollars as available this cycle. Natural Resources Director Delia Kaye presented three requests, including $670,000 toward a $770,000 purchase of a third-acre West Concord parcel, Lot A1, where neighborhood organizer John Cooley said 120 households signed a petition and the town's purchase option expires May 29, 2028.

Kaye also sought $250,000 to grow the town's Conservation Fund to $1 million and $150,000 toward a $195,000 Old Rifle Range Trail rebuild. Town Archivist Nate Smith requested $20,000 to conserve and digitize deteriorating town meeting record books after finding a full repair of one volume would cost over $50,000. Regional Housing Services Office director Kristen defended a recurring $45,500 request for affordable-housing compliance work.
