Planning Board outlines 2026-2027 agenda with housing strategy focus
Planning Board · Meeting of June 16, 2026
CONCORD — Planning Board advances housing strategy and charts 2026-2027 priorities centered on MCI Concord. The Concord Housing Foundation presented an updated strategy to address rising housing costs and shortage of moderately affordable housing, with the Affordable Housing Trust setting a goal of 200 units over five years and another 200 in the following five years. Board members sought clearer data on school enrollment impacts and fiscal effects of different housing types.
The Board also discussed zoning amendments to clarify basement definitions in the bylaw and reviewed a draft warrant article addressing accumulated errors and outdated language. Subdivision rules and regulations, unchanged since 2007, will be updated with a public hearing anticipated in the fall.
