Concord's Planning Board unanimously approved site plans for a memorial dryland diving training center and a new Fenn School athletic center. Betsy O'Donnell, president of C.C. Pools and mother of diver Maisie O'Donnell, said the 1,300-square-foot facility at the Beattie Center drew more than 700 donors, "she spent innumerable hours at the BD Center." The board also approved a 16,000-square-foot athletic center for The Fenn School at 516 Monument Street after revising conditions on stormwater elevation, fire detectors and an EV parking space.
Separately, Select Board liaison Dean told the board the Select Board wants a cell tower zoning bylaw, which "failed by one vote" at a prior Town Meeting, brought back, but members tabled the idea, citing competing demands from a pending "MCI" zoning article.
