The Town of Concord announced Oct. 26 that National Grid has scheduled overnight road work at the intersection of Main Street and Cottage Street.

The utility's contractor, Neuco Inc., is handling backfilling, paving and demolition of an existing vault. Work is taking place during night hours, from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m., and is expected to run from Oct. 26 through Oct. 30. The town noted the schedule is weather dependent and subject to change.

The street will remain open to traffic while crews work in the area. Police officers or flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic, and drivers are asked to follow posted signs and the traffic management plan.

Property access will largely be maintained, though residents and business owners may experience short delays entering or exiting driveways while equipment operates directly in front of their property. Anyone needing access during construction is asked to speak with the police detail officer or flagger on-site. The town advised drivers to use caution in the work area, where heavy equipment will be operating, and to expect delays. Parking is not permitted within the roadway work limits during construction.

Questions about the project can be directed to Sarah Troy of National Grid at (781) 670-4209 or Sarah.Troy@nationalgrid.com, or Kris Pazzanese of Neuco Inc. at (978) 804-7399 or Kpazzanese@Neuco-inc.com.
