Concord Select Board approves housing foundation project and shifts affordable housing financing to state program. The board unanimously endorsed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Concord Housing Foundation for a 386-square-foot addition and septic system replacement at 449 Barrett's Mill Road, with maintenance funded through rent collection. In a separate unanimous vote, the board authorized Town Manager Kerry Lafleur and Select Board Chair to sign the Local Initiative Program application for Novo Riverside Commons, a 201-unit development on Baker Avenue with 25 percent affordable units and June 2026 target groundbreaking.
The shift from New England Fund to LIP requires no project modifications and ensures permanent affordability. A public hearing portion addressed eight warrant articles without recorded votes.
