West Concord Cultural District Committee approves officers, welcomes new member

CONCORD — West Concord Cultural District Committee unanimously reelected Sue LaChance as Chair and Jen Hurley-Wales as Clerk for another year, while formally welcoming new member Angelina Gennis, who replaces departing member Maureen Goldin. Chris Randall is stepping down after six years; Erin Piro has been recruited to fill the vacancy. The committee heard updates on Phase 2 of the Art Loop, facing supply delays; the Junction Park Sculpture project by artist Stephen Klema, which can proceed with installation during the first week of August; and Porchfest planning, now set for June 13 with 44 confirmed bands.
The Concord250 Poetry Event at Concord Library drew a full house and prompted interest from Mass Poetry to model a statewide program on the committee's Poetry Phone initiative.
