Trust votes to study expanded capacity at 91B Main Street surplus property.
Concord Municipal Affordable Housing Trust · Meeting of January 6, 2026
Concord Municipal Affordable Housing Trust votes to study expanded capacity at 91B Main Street. The Trust's attempt to approve a $629,000 acquisition of the 1.45-acre surplus state property failed on a 3-3 tie, with Mary Hartman citing concerns about cost per unit. The board unanimously approved instead a motion, seconded by Rich Feeley, to fund a $4,600 environmental assessment and engineering design study within 90 days to assess feasibility of more than four units.
The Trust holds an uncommitted fund balance of $2.46 million and has received the Community Preservation Committee's support for a full $785,500 FY 2027 funding request to April 2026 Annual Town Meeting.
