Recreation Commission · Meeting of September 21, 2026

CONCORD — The Recreation Commission unanimously elected Matt Boger as its new chair, replacing Phil Griffiths who served two and a half years. The commission reached consensus to draft letters supporting a proposed indoor recreation facility at MCI and Phase 1 of the Alcott Elementary School playground renovation, with emphasis on universal accessibility. It voted to dissolve the Rideout Courts Subcommittee as the $1,039,000 resurfacing project transitioned to Department of Public Works management, with construction expected to finish by October's end and courts to reopen in spring.

The Maisey O'Donnell Dry Dive Training Facility was ready to proceed pending completion of the Beede roof project by October 9.
