Library Committee approves revised study room and display policies.

Library Committee · Meeting of March 3, 2026

CONCORD — Library Committee unanimously approves revised study room and display policies. Chair Laura Klein oversaw approvals of the Study Room Policy, which codifies 15-minute advance reservations for same-day use of the Trustees and Lower Level meeting rooms, and the revised Library Materials Displays Policy, which removes Special Collections and art displays from its scope. Director Emily Smith reported that the Library's operating budget is fully funded in the draft moving to Town Meeting on March 5, and two Community Preservation Act grant requests for storm windows and digitization of Thoreau's original pencil surveys are included in the proposal for a March 10 public hearing.

Both revised policies require Library Trustees approval before taking effect.
